Houjicha is roasted sencha. Heated on fire or electric heater, houjicha has a special "roast" smell and hence the name in Japanese "Roast-Tea". Our houjicha is a dark roast houjicha giving more roast aroma. The color of the tea is brownish-orange, resembling moonlight in autumn harvest season.
Houjicha is suitable for drinking after a big feast and it has relatively lower caffeine.
This Houjicha Powder is grounded using almost matcha grinding technology in Japan: more velvety and smooth mouthfeel for latte and baking pastries or desserts, almost like matcha quality.

焙茶是以大火或高溫炒過的煎茶,富有令人喜愛的焙炒香氣。我們的焙茶經深度烘焙,焙炒香氣更濃,茶湯帶有焦糖的甜味。這款焙茶茶湯呈棕橘色,令人聯想起秋收時節的月色,故名「秋月」。
焙茶適合去除油膩感,適合飯後飲用,其咖啡因含量亦相對較低。
這款焙茶粉在日本以抹茶技術研磨而成,比一般坊間焙茶粉更添幼滑,近乎抹茶級別,製作Latte或烘焙時更為細膩幼滑。
